My Rainbow-Dreams will be closed this coming Monday 16 November, as we recover from the Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon the day before.
The Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon is a sporting event unique to Canberra: an all-day endurance contest featuring swims in 3 lakes (Ginninderra, Burley Griffin and Tuggeranong), interspersed with 3 stunning mountain bike rides and 3 cross-country runs along the very best of Canberra's bushland tracks and trails. The entire course climbs and descends 10 peaks in its 150 kilometre journey covering the length and breadth of our natural capital.
The Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon is the ultimate scenic tour of our national capital, a landmark event on the national multi-sport calendar.
The race can be enjoyed by teams or solo entrants. To attempt the entire course solo is one of the toughest single-day sporting challenges imaginable. Most race in teams, tripling the enjoyment in a celebration of camaraderie, application, speed, strategy and endurance.
You may think athletes are drawn to this event by the amazing scenery, the athletic challenge, the camaraderie, the personal achievement – or is the secret really the famous spread at the finish, catered by My Rainbow-Dreams??
